With almost two decades of digital marketing experience, Campaigner has served as the email marketing platform of choice for over 100,000 customers.

A former customer shared in a review " We understand Campainer is not just an email program, but they don't seem very interested in our suggestions along the way. It's disappointing that in all these years, there hasn't been any kind of redesign for ease of use. At what we are being charged monthly; we are likely going to shop around and see if there is something better matched for our needs, and priced more competitively."

Fundraiser (Former Employee) says

"Although our second team lead was quite relaxed and helpful. There was barely any help given to the Victoria team as it wasn't close to the base of Canuck Place Children's Hospice. When there was a lull of pledges in our team, head management went straight to threatening to firing the whole team after saying that they'd help us and support us if there was lulls in pledges. The head office had no idea of the Victoria areas and when mapping out areas they sent us to some less fortunate areas and reused the same maps where the only people who would want to donate were already donating. As well as having to work in all weather conditions there will be people who are very angry and will slam doors and even stand there and yell at you."

Charitable Cause Fundraising Ambassador (Former Employee) says

"1- Great group dynamic. Cons: Working in all weather conditions. Hours, working until just after sunset. No benefits."

Campaigner (Former Employee) says

"Never got much pledges during our campaigning. People did not seem to trust us and were annoyed when we showed up at their front door. Some people slammed the door in my face shouting obscenities."

Campaign Fundraiser (Former Employee) says

"A great way to meet good people & get exercise. With this type of work, you can learn a lot about people & about yourself. It's a great challenge to take on, if even for a few months. Cons: Full-time is 30 hours/week, so even with good pay/hour, it is the equivalent of minimum wage."

Former Employee - Campaigner says

"I worked at Amnesty International full-time for more than 5 years Cons: Ego's of Human Rights Heroes. Abundance of passive aggressive attitudes. No accountability. Hierarchical, outdated and irrelevant. Deeply conservative and twee. Preaches to the converted and strategies consistently fail."

Former Employee - Campaigner says

"I worked at Amnesty International part-time Cons: The safety protocols were not effective"

Current Employee - Campaigner says

"I have been working at Amnesty International full-time for more than 10 years Cons: Bad management and toxic environment from management. There is no accountability for them."

Current Employee - Campaigner says

"I have been working at Amnesty International full-time for more than a year Cons: Crazy politics both inter-departmental and intra-departmental, disrespectful for expertise, disrespect talents, does not value intelligence, little ownership of projects, whether you will actually enjoy your work heavily depends on your line manager, there are good line managers out there but they are not the majority."

Former Intern - Campaigns Intern says

"I worked at Amnesty International Cons: Poor leadership which seemed to frustrate staff, they do not pay their interns"

Current Contractor - Campaigner says

"I have been working at Amnesty International for more than a year Cons: Colleagues can be cold, rude and overbearing, especially those who have been in the organization for a long time."

Former Employee - Campaigns Assistant says

"I worked at Amnesty International part-time Cons: - too many egos - very poor work-life balance for too many staff"

Former Employee - Campaign Officer says

"I worked at Amnesty International full-time for more than 3 years Cons: Huge salary gap between managers and officers"

Former Intern - Campaign Manager says

"I worked at Amnesty International for less than a year Cons: Poor bonding between colleagues. They do not socialise with the new interns and the interns come and go."

"First: you are required to input credit card details for trial. You cant cancel the trial except you call. When you call, it takes forever to answer.

You get charged and you cant even use the service until you contact customer care (which on their website is 24/7 but in reality, is never there) which is never there and even when they answer, the empathy is so pathetic. You need to contact customer care to explain how you intend to use the service before they can allow you use the service, for which they already charged you for.

You get your account closed but no refund for not being able t use the service.

This is the greatest internet scam of all time!"

"Carlos, here below replied that a resolution has been provided but I can confirm that so far Carlos and every person I dealing with in this company hasn’t found any solution. They are sending wrong invoices, not sending amended ones, accounts totally wrong and after 4 months dealing with them and constantly sending emails, NO REFUND has been sent!

Very unprofessional Service.

I am customer for few years now, always paid my billing in advance for a very expensive plan. In their website customer are able to do the upgrade but there is not the option to do the downgrade. Due the COVID19, in March, I asked to downgrade my account as my business stopped. Nobody replied for one month since someone called Colin did it. He said that he was working on the downgrade and proposed me the plan that I accepted. It never happened. In April I was charged even more than the usual plan, in May I was charged TWICE!!! I amending many emails asking for about 450$ of refund and they are rolling around, nobody replies at my email and when they reply is just to take joke saying that they are working on it but nothing is changing. It's ridiculous. Stay far from those cheating company."

Brad Fletcher says

"You are forced to enter payment details for trial and you cancel you must phone. You cannot cancel via the platform."

Phil Guertin says

"We had used Campaigner by Protus for about 2 years and decided to prepay for a year to receive an 18% discount. We prepaid $2,952 in January 2019 but starting the next month we had significant delivery issues with Gmail blocking delivery and overall open rates in the low single digits. We had reached out to our account rep and tech support numerous times to discuss the issues. On three separate work arounds we completed their recommendations and followed-up with subsequent blasts but continued to have delivery issues and very low open rates. We contacted Campaigner and asked for refund for the unused months and they denied the request because under the prepaid contract there are no refunds. As a result, we reversed the charge and they immediately blocked the account, they then disputed the charge and still have not reopen our account or contacted us.
Knowing this I would just warn others to not subscribe to their larger plans, stay month-to-month and expect the service to deteriorate over time. It would take about 5-7 days for tech support to respond to emails."
